Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Award Calculator iOS and iPadOS app handles information when you plan itineraries and check published schedules or award availability. Award Calculator is provided by iLegendianoth. Contact: business@ilegendianoth.com.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your current itinerary and saved itineraries on your device. This includes airport or station codes, carriers, flight or service numbers, dates and local times, cabins, booking codes, traveller counts, fare-brand selections and manual overrides. It also stores connection preferences and local request counters.
You do not need an Award Calculator account. The app does not upload your saved itinerary collection to a developer-operated account service and does not provide its own cross-device itinerary sync.
Automatic flight-data and timetable queries
Entering a valid flight number and date, or route and date, may automatically trigger an online query without a separate Search press.
- FlightAware: published schedules are requested directly from FlightAware AeroAPI using a date-derived window and the applicable airports, airline and flight number.
- Seats.aero: cached Aeroplan award availability is requested directly from Seats.aero using the route, departure date and Aeroplan source filters. A follow-up request may retrieve an availability record. The selected flight number and cabin are matched locally against returned trips.
- Landline: bus timetables are requested directly from
ca.landline.comusing route station codes, departure date and a fixed one-person schedule query. An AC service-number search may check all supported Toronto Pearson bus routes for that date. No Seats.aero or FlightAware credential is sent to Landline.
Each receiving service gets the network information necessary to handle your request, including your connection’s IP address. These requests do not include traveller names, passport information, payment details or airline booking references; the app does not ask you to enter those details.
Default connections and personal API keys
The app provides default flight-data connections. You may instead select a personal Seats.aero or FlightAware API key. Personal keys are stored with device-only Keychain protection and are sent to the corresponding service in an authentication header. A personal key can associate requests with your account at that service.
Switching to a default connection keeps your saved personal key until you explicitly remove it. A failed request does not automatically switch accounts. Default and personal connections use the same providers.
Caching and retention on your device
The app caches responses to reduce repeat requests. Seats.aero responses are saved in the app’s cache with a 15-minute freshness check. They may remain after becoming stale, and an older response may be reused if a fresh request fails. A freshness period is not a deletion deadline.
Published FlightAware and Landline timetable results are cached temporarily in memory, also with a 15-minute freshness check. The operating system may separately manage networking caches. Your saved itineraries remain until you delete them; deleting a saved copy does not delete a separately loaded draft. iOS and iPadOS may manage backups and cached data according to your device settings.
Third-party services and maps
Seats.aero, FlightAware and Landline process the requests they receive under their applicable agreements and privacy notices. Their records and retention practices are separate from the app’s on-device cache. This policy does not promise that those providers keep no logs or delete a request after a particular interval.
Apple MapKit supplies the map. Airport coordinates come from the app’s catalogue; the app does not request your device’s precise location. Apple may process map-service requests under Apple’s privacy information.
Availability through the Canadian App Store does not mean that every service request is processed or stored in Canada. Websites you open from the app have their own privacy practices.
Advertising and diagnostics
The app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not implement advertising tracking. Apple may provide diagnostics or usage information through its platform services and your settings. This does not change the independent practices of flight-data providers or external websites.
Your choices
You can edit or delete flights and saved itineraries. In Flight data settings, you can remove personal API keys and switch between default and personal connections. Removing a saved key prevents the app from using that credential; it does not revoke the key at the provider or erase records the provider already holds. Use the provider’s account controls or privacy contact for those requests.
Fixed-price planning does not require a successful online lookup. To avoid automatic network searches while using the app, use it offline.
Support correspondence and privacy questions
Email business@ilegendianoth.com for app support, privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent to us. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include and use that information to respond and investigate your request.
Do not send passwords, API keys, passport information, payment details or airline booking references. Email and website-hosting services may process correspondence or visits under their own practices; this app policy does not promise a specific retention period for those services.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The revision date above identifies the version you are reading.
